Highlights of Mercedes Cars to be launched in 2019-20

In the month of November, Mercedes-Benz released a timeline for its brand new products that are scheduled to debut in the Indian automobile market in 2019-20. In addition to new generation of vehicles, such as the GLS, CLA and B-Class, this brand has also listed an “8th compact car,” which would be revealed in the latter half of 2019.


Here are a few highlights about some of these Mercedes cars:

· Mercedes-Benz B-Class
ØThis is the third-generation B-Class model of Mercedes, and was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show 2018.
ØFeaturing adjustable rear seats, this vehicle takes practicality to a whole new level. It allows the car owners to increase the cargo space as well.
ØThe new B-Class model also features a 4MATIC AWD option.
ØThis vehicle would be available with a 2.0-litre diesel engine and 1.3-litre petrol unit.
ØIt is expected that Mercedes-Benz will announce the prices of the B-Class in some markets in the first calendar quarter of 2019.

· Mercedes-Benz GLC Facelift and GLC Coupe Facelift
ØThe GLC and the GLC Coupe will get a facelift in 2019.
ØIt is expected that the updated version of this car will have minor cosmetic changes on the outside, but with a bigger serving of key features.
ØThe GLC facelift is expected to come to India by 2020.
ØThe Indian version will get BSVI engines at launch.

· Mercedes-Benz CLA
ØThe CLA 4-door coupe is expected to be available in the first half of 2019.
ØThe CLA Shooting Brake (Estate) seems poised to launch in the third quarter of 2019.
ØThe CLA is currently available with 2.2-litre diesel and a 2.0-litre petrol engine options in the country.

· Mercedes-Benz GLS
ØMercedes-Benz’ current flagship SUV is set for a massive overhaul.
ØMercedes Benz will debut the new-gen GLS in 2019.
ØThe new GLS has already been spotted during test runs.
ØLike the current version, this new model is expected to sport a 3-row seating layout.
ØIf this car is unveiled in the second half of 2019, then in all likelihood it would not be coming to India before 2020.
